Scottish-qualified prop Fin Richardson has become the latest player to put pen to paper and join Glasgow Warriors ahead of next season.

He joins loosehead Rory Sutherland and fly-half Adam Hastings in agreeing to join Warriors for the new campaign.

Richardson joins for the 2024/25 season from Exeter Chiefs where he had a dual contract with Cornish Pirates. But he's now made the move home to Scotland as he looks to earn a place in Gregor Townsend's international set up.

The 25-year-old will now have the opportunity to impress Franco Smith at Glasgow before looking to get into Townsend's squad but he did make his ambitions clear on signing for his new club having previously been capped at U20 level.

He said: “I’m really excited to be heading home to Scotland and am especially looking forward to working under Franco Smith and learning from the likes of Al Dickinson.

“The team are flying this year; I can’t wait to be a part of what comes next.

“I have a lot to thank Exeter for and I’m so grateful for the time I’ve had with the Chiefs, Cornish Pirates and Exeter University. However, the time is right for me to return home and build on my ambitions for international rugby. There’s a huge opportunity for young tight heads and coming to Glasgow is going to give me the best possible chance.”

And Smith added: “We’re pleased to welcome Fin to the club as we continue to build towards next season.

“He is a young prop with good potential, and we know he is keen to learn and develop.

“We look forward to working with him and helping him become the best version of himself both on and off the field.”
