Edinburgh Rugby have today announced the signing of Western Force and Australia 7’s centre Solomoni ‘Junior’ Rasolea on a two year contract.

The back joins as Alan Solomons seeks to reinforce the centres following the announcement that Scotland star Matt Scott is off to Gloucester.

24 year old Rasolea has represented Fiji at U20 level, played for Australia Sevens and has turned out 28 times for the Force scoring on two occasions.

[blockquote author=”Junior Rasolea” pull=”normal”]”I hope that my knowledge of Super Rugby will be a positive influence on the squad and it will be great to share playing ideas.”..[/blockquote]

Having played for Australia in the abbreviated game his nationality is now tied to Australia so can’t be seen as a ‘project player’, however he will no doubt be a welcome addition in a problem position for the capital side.
