    • I am glad you got some respite from feeling gutted, over the Falkirk result, Iain.
I am a fervent Hibs fan, and I have often experienced the feelings, likened to grief, when critical results have gone against my team.
For a change, this weekend, my only big disappointment was Glasgow losing the Guinness Pro 12 semi. Although, I am an Edinburgh man, I support both the Pro 12 teams.

    • If only we had had wee Kevin McAllister lol.

FFC will always yo yo between leagues, but when the prize is so close, it hurts all the more.

Killie have some squad of Neanderthals by the way. Their central defenders would make good second rowers.

Should be a cracking championship next season with DUFC and DAFC on board.

    • Although, I would prefer if Hibs got promoted, I think the Championship is more competitive than the Premier. Two Championship teams reached the SFA Cup Final.
I think the Championship will be even more competitive next season; particularly, if Raith get a good replacement manager. That would make at least five teams vying for promotion.

    • The final between our teams was-colossa!! Maybe, I am biase, but I have not seen a closer contested Sevens final before.
Your black winger was magical! His speed, when he collected an extremely difficult pass, when going on to score a try was sensational.
I think the Boks must be the favourites to win Gold at the Olympics.
Unfortunately, for Team GB, only 4 Scots have been chosen for the initial squad of 25. That will be whittled down to 12. In fact, the Scot, Fife, who scored the last two tries, with just over twenty seconds to go, and the Scottish Sevens Captain have been left out of the squad. Also, the Scottish Sevens Coach will have little or no input.

  1. Outstanding performance but it leaves me with a question . Given Scotland’s comprehensive victory over England in front of an English home crowd where our boys tactics and play took England apart, why is England over represented in the TEAM GB 7s Olympic Squad? T

    • I agree James! The Olympic squad is chosen much too early. We only have 4 players in it. The Scottish Sevens Captain, Wright, along with Hoyland and Fife have been left out of the squad. Possibly, the biggest shame though is that the Scottish Sevens Coach is not involved.
Two Sevens running, we beat the English Team. The latest was quite overwhelming. They hardly even touched the ball.

  2. For a country that specialises in glorious (snatch defeat from jaws of victory) failure that was sweet nectar from heaven for the epic and unbelievable finish – to be repeated again by 3016 (by any Scottish sports team) given statistical analysis!!!! well done boys and thanks for the memories

  3. What an outstanding example of never say die! Always lived in hope never daring to believe. You guys were truly awesome and an inspiration to all Scots!! Hugest congratulations and thanks for what you have achieved!
