In an unusually late evening teaser post by the Warrior social media accounts, it appears they’re getting ready to reveal a new logo in the morning.
The move comes almost a year to the day after Edinburgh Rugby changed their logo to what some fans dubbed an ‘orange lego brick’.

Warriors fans will no doubt be hoping for a less controversial departure for their beloved brand identity.
Well a little digging on the government’s Intellectual Property website seems to have uncovered a likely contender for the new logo. And here it is:

Glasgow supporters will be glad to see the pale blue retained, but it is yet to be seen how the more Americanised style will go down with the Warrior Nation.
It actually looks remarkably similar to a the Warriors logo that was famously reimagined as an NFL logo by Product Design student Stephen Johnson. Who know, maybe he was drafted in to help?

This may all be an elaborate prank on the part of the Warriors, perhaps in honour of The Donald’s visit, but it seems unlikely that they’d go to the trouble of trademarking it.
Only time will tell…
