#5 Jamie Ritchie: Possible
Cometh the Cup, cometh the man. Despite playing for Edinburgh since he was 17, prior to Scotland’s ill-fated Rugby World Cup campaign, few outside Scotland knew much about the tough as teak back rower. His emergence on the international scene was sporadic and the 23 year old seemed destined to be ‘one for the future’. But all that changed thanks to his titanic effort against Japan back in October. He was Scotland’s stand out man that day and has started every game since.
Of all the players on this list (perhaps with the exception of Darcy Graham), he may end up being the one hardest hit by the lack of international games between now and the selection time, but Gatland could do well to take a punt on the Dundee lad.
