AnonymousThe COVID-19 pandemic has affected all clubs and even London Scottish is not immune.
Our fund-raising events have all been cancelled, we can’t sell tickets, and our wonderful sponsors too are struggling … We don’t even know if or when our Championship season will start, and we were already facing major adjustment after the RFU cut more than 75% of the league’s funding, leading to the decision to revert to part-time rugby.
Meanwhile we still have all our basic costs – rent, coaches etc, so we are now relying more than ever on our supporters and members to make it through this difficult time.
We have worked long and hard to create a rugby family that is London Scottish. We have a hugely diverse membership and with growing playing numbers from Under 6 to Senior Amateurs. Girls rugby is stronger than ever and the Touch rugby following is growing rapidly. Everyone is back training and hoping we eventually get the go ahead to play, and we’re also making great progress in securing a new home for the club from 2021 … So this is a club to be proud of, and worth protecting, and together we will weather this storm and look forward to an exciting new future, with our very own clubhouse and pitches for Exiled Scots and our friends and families.
We need your support in making this vision a reality. Please give that support with a donation here:
