Scotland return to Yokohama for the final pool game against Rugby World Cup hosts Japan. There have been seven full Tests between these two teams, and a further five “non-cap” games.

This will be the fourth time the two sides have met in a Rugby World Cup, Scotland winning the three previous encounters in 1991, 2003 and 2015.

But the figures flatter Scotland, especially because Japan sit a place higher in the World Rugby rankings.

    So can Scotland win?
