Glasgow Warriors veteran Fraser Brown has been named as the head coach of Watsonians ahead of the 2024 Super Series.

The 61-capped Scotland hooker originally joined the club as an assistant coach but will now take over in the top job. He'll take the role in conjunction with his Glasgow Warriors playing career, with an ACL injury currently keeping him on the sidelines as he looks to fight back from that.

But he'll now take on the role at Watsonians and he said: “I thoroughly enjoyed leading Watsonians forwards last year, leading an entire squad in a head coaching role is something I have wanted to do for a number of years.

“Watsonians have rich history of playing exciting and successful rugby at Myreside as one of Scotland’s most successful clubs.

“There was real progress in the squad last year so now to be given the opportunity to take charge of the team for the next season is an honour, it’s something I’m really excited about.”
