Edinburgh have made seven changes to their starting lineup as they take on Scarlets at the Hive on Saturday night.

Sean Everitt’s side have had a heavy schedule in recent weeks with a lot of travel back and forth from South Africa, including in last weekend’s 36-30 defeat to the Sharks.

It was a frustrating one for the Edinburgh head coach and he had hinted before that game that he could make changes for this match and he has done so.

Four of those dropping out are among the replacements but Jake Henry is out with a hamstring issue while Sam Skinner and Hamish Watson have both been rested for the visit of Welsh opposition.

The entire front row has also been switched out with Boan Venter and Javan Sebastian starting alongside hooker Dave Cherry.

There’s also a change in the second row with Jamie Hodgson replacing Skinner and partnering captain Grant Gilchrist in the engine room, while Luke Crosbie joins Jamie Ritchie and Bill Mata in the back row.

Ali Price celebrates signing his new contract by starting at scrum half alongside Ben Healy, while James Lang comes in at centre to partner Mark Bennett.

Matt Currie has been playing there but he switches to the wing to cover for the injury Henry while Wes Goosen continues at full back and Duhan van der Merwe keeps his place.

The bench sees all three of those who drop out from the front row involved with Ewan Ashman, Pierre Schoeman and WP Nel all there, as well as Marshall Sykes and Connor Boyle to cover the forwards.

Ben Vellacott drops to the replacements too and he’s joined by Cammy Scott and Chris Dean to cover the backs.
